This week I begin a new series on Intuitive Eating! Over the next few weeks I will give you the background you need to know to understand what it is, the essential components and how to apply it to yourself and your children. Learning how to eat intuitively will give you the foundation for a healthy relationship with food and your body, but also will allow you to model it for your children.
In a nutshell, Intuitive eating is a way of eating where you honor your hunger and satiety and respect your body’s inner wisdom.
Intuitive eating is an evidence-based way of eating that is sustainable, pleasurable and increases well-being.
In this episode I will discuss the origin of Intuitive Eating, why I think it’s a valuable and health-promoting way to eat and the 10 principles as developed by Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch. I also discuss what Intuitive Eating is NOT.
