#172: Can Vegans Be Intuitive Eaters? (Part II)

Ultimately IE is about trusting yourself to care for your body in a way that honors both your physical and mental wellbeing. It is not a plan or a diet and it is not about perfection. — Dr. Yami

In Part I, I explained intuitive eating and how it is often misunderstood, how many people don’t practice intuitive eating - second to diet culture, and how both vegans and omnivores can benefit from nutrition knowledge.

In Part II, I am going to talk about veganism specifically and some of the ideas and thoughts we have related to veganism.

In this episode of Veggie Doctor Radio, I discuss whether vegans can practice intuitive eating.

Some of the topics covered in today’s episode include:

  • What is veganism

  • Definition of orthorexia and disordered eating

  • Does veganism cause eating disorders?

  • Ways in which non-intuitively eating can harm us
