#317: Behind the scenes of I AM HUMAN
“I wanted to convey to my audience that I'm not just about only evidence-based things. There's other things that I'm interested in, like spirituality and even just some personal development things that may not necessarily have been studied formally yet. And that's why I decided to open up my brand to include other topics including spirituality and personal development because they're important to me because I started to feel a little bit confined and restricted as ‘Veggie Doctor’.” –Dr. Yami
In this episode, we replay Dr. Yami's appearance on the "Mics to Millions" podcast, hosted by Sam Brake Guia. Dr. Yami discusses her transformative journey from the original "Veggie Doctor Radio" to rebranding as "I Am Human." Dr. Yami delves into the motivations behind her podcast rebranding, the challenges of balancing her career as a pediatrician with podcasting, and her strategies for expanding her listener base. The episode offers valuable insights into overcoming technical hurdles, leveraging social media for promotion, and securing high-quality guest appearances. Dr. Yami's story is a testament to the power of consistency and the courage to embrace change, providing inspiration for both aspiring and seasoned podcasters.
