#104: How to Make Positive Diet Changes Even if You're Overwhelmed with Ariane Elizalde, RD
“We don’t make changes from one day to another. And you don’t learn things from one day to another.” -Ariane Elizalde
Ariane knew from a young age that she loved food. She became a dietician and had the opportunity to work in diverse job settings and she learned a lot. But it wasn’t until she became a mother that she went on one of her most difficult journeys. As she devoted more time to her family and children, her own health and eating habits began to suffer. She knew she had to make a change, but it felt painful and difficult. She struggled with anxiety and depression. She eventually developed a plan to improve her health and wellbeing. She adopted a plant-based diet, starting connecting with other professionals through conferences and events and integrated exercise. She finally started to feel like herself again, but now with a gift of empathy for her clients and families. Ariane is gentle, kind and passionate. She has a heart for helping and knows exactly how difficult it can sometimes be to change.
In this episode of Veggie Doctor Radio, I talk with Ariane Elizalde, a registered dietician in South Florida about how she is able to help families adopt healthier nutrition habits.
We discuss:
