#85.5: How Self-Love is an act of service with Dr. Shainna Ali

Self-love can help you better love your partner. -Dr. Shainna Ali

Dr. Shainna Ali had to learn through her own journey the importance of self-love and now she is on a mission to help others determine for themselves what self-love means. Self-love can be a confusing and sometimes uncomfortable concept but I thought it would be a perfect topic for Valentine’s Day!

In this episode of Veggie Doctor Radio, Dr. Ali and I discuss self-love. What it is, why it’s important and how to discover your own version of self-love.

We discuss:

  • How and why she became interested in the topic of self-love

  • What self-love isn’t

  • Why it may seem difficult to practice self-love

  • How self-love changes over time

  • How we can begin to practice self-love

  • What you can do for yourself this valentine’s day to start practicing some self-love

  • What she wishes more people knew

  • What personal habit she is most proud of
