#72: Integrating More Whole Plant Foods Into Your Diet with Dr. Pamela Fergusson

“Eighty percent of disease has nutrition as a significant contributing factor.” - Dr. Pamela Fergusson

Dr. Pamela Fergusson is a Canadian dietician with over 15 years of experience. I met her this year when we both spoke at the Spokane Vegfest and she had some great tips to share. I really wanted to interview her for VDR because she has helpful and practical advice that can help both new and seasoned plant-based eaters.

Last week I talked all about WHY we should eat more whole plant foods. In this episode of Veggie Doctor Radio, Dr. Pamela tells us HOW we can integrate more plant foods into our diet.

What we discuss:

  • Dr. Pamela’s plant-based journey

  • How she helps her clients integrate more whole plant foods into their diets

  • How she helps seasoned plant-based eaters optimize their diets

  • How she helps clients navigate conflicting nutritional messages

  • Tips for preparing food for children

  • Why Dr. Pamela started using sunflower seeds instead of cashews in her cooking

  • What she wishes more people knew
