#116: How to Make Feeding Your Kids Fun and Easy With Julie Revelant (pediatric series)
“Start with small portions. So serving them alongside other familiar foods for your kids.” -Julie Revelant
Julie was raised on the Standard American Diet of the 80’s. Lots of processed food, little plant foods and definitely no beans. She started to become interested in nutrition over time, but it wasn’t until she had children that her eyes were truly opened to the power of whole foods, consistency and persistence.
In this episode of Veggie Doctor Radio, I have a candid conversation with Julie Revelant about feeding children and how we can make it fun and easy.
We discuss:
Her own nutrition journey
How having children changed her perspective on nutrition
The most surprising thing she has learned as a health journalist
Why she thinks parents struggle with feeding their kids
What stresses parents out the most
The common mistakes parents make when feeding their children
How we can make feeding children fun and easy
How she started cooking with beans
How we can start to integrate beans into our diet
What she wishes more moms knew
The personal habit she is most proud of
